Tommy Fleetwood didn’t win the FedEx Cup on his first try. Or his second. Or his hundredth. In 164 PGA Tour starts spread across years of near-misses and major heartbreaks, the Englishman was perpetually the nearly man — beloved, respected, and consistently brilliant without ever standing on the top step.
That changed in August 2025 at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, where Fleetwood won the Tour Championship and with it the FedEx Cup — the PGA Tour’s season-long prize and a $10 million bonus. His first PGA Tour victory. In his 164th start.
He’d been carrying a GLM marker since 2021, when Jon Millman made a set for him ahead of the PGA Championship at Kiawah Island. Fleetwood won the Nedbank Challenge with one in 2022 — his first professional victory of any kind. He won Ryder Cup matches with one in 2023 and again in 2025 at Bethpage Black. And then, when the biggest moment of his career finally arrived, the same maker’s work was in his pocket.
“Tommy’s been part of the GLM family almost from the start,” said Millman. “He’s one of those players who treats every marker like it matters. To see him get that first PGA Tour win — at East Lake, with everything on the line — it doesn’t get much better than that.”
In 2025, GLM markers were in the pockets of winners at THE PLAYERS Championship, The Masters, and the FedEx Cup. Three of the four biggest prizes in professional golf, one maker from Long Island.
